The toe cap is a SlimCap made of plastic and can withstand impacts of up to 200 joules. This makes the Base Sidney safety shoes S1PS suitable for environments where basic toe protection is required, combined with lower weight and without metal components.

The shoe is antistatic and ESD approved, and it is also slip-resistant with SR and SC. The outsole is FO approved, meaning it is resistant to oil and petrol. The upper is made of textile, and it fastens with laces so the fit can be adjusted. Underfoot, comfort is prioritised with AirTech Anti-Fatigue, and the shoe features Tpu-Skin as well as TPU elements. In addition, it is shock-absorbing and has both odour-inhibiting and antibacterial properties, which can be an advantage during prolonged use.
