This Engel Safety+ softshell jacket from Engel Workwear combines protective properties and practical details in a functional work jacket. The jacket is made from 36% modacrylic, 34% polyester, 24% cotton, 5% aramid and 1% carbon fibre. The material composition contains inherently flame-retardant fibres, and the jacket is flame-retardant, antistatic, chemical-resistant and waterproof. With a water column of 20,000 mm, the softshell jacket is rated for high water resistance.

The full-length zip is covered by a storm flap with Velcro, while the high collar provides extra coverage around the neck. The sleeve width can be adjusted with Velcro, and the drawcord in the adjustable hem makes it possible to adapt the fit. On a day with changing tasks, these details keep the jacket secure and adjustable.

The jacket has a zipped chest pocket as well as open side pockets for smaller items. A D-ring and straps for a gas alarm are integrated as part of the design. This flame-retardant jacket therefore combines storage options and adjustment features with documented material properties.
